Marking a bee queen

In this video I show and explain what a swarm of bees is and how to capture them.

I had a visit from the Nuremberg figure hive artist Birgit Maria Jönsson. She took me to see some of her figure hives that are on display in public.

In the second part, I will take a closer look at the privilege of the Zeidler's "inferior jurisdiction". I will also shed some light on the reasons for the decline of the Zeidler.

I have made a slightly longer video (approx. 16 minutes) in which I show in detail how an inspection of a bee colony works, what to look out for and what to avoid.

Today I would like to take you back to a time when bees were kept in trees in Central and Eastern Europe and they were called "Immen" and the beekeepers "Zeidler"
