I plan to drive to Dallas, Texas (barring nothing gets in my way) to get photos of this total eclipse. This will be the last one for us to see in the United States until August 2044!!

How long is that for you to drive?

About 4 hours. Not bad. I was born in Dallas. I really like the city. I don’t go much anymore because most of my family is gone now. My grandparents are gone. My aunt and my cousins all moved to Tennessee. I have one uncle left there. And my musician boyfriend from college 😂

About 4 hours. Not bad....🤣🤣 So funny the difference. I "need" to go to Belgium this weekend, my daughter asked for help in her renovation house and I am going to babysitting. Of course we go! But it's almost 3 hours driving and I am thinking about that as far away...😆😆

😁 it all goes back to that map I showed you with the size of Texas. The city of Houston (where I live) could contain the cities of New York, Wash- ington, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Minneapolis and Miami. Not population-wise, but size wise. Add in the surrounding area which is called the GHA (Greater Houston Area) and it covers more ground than any other major city in America. During traffic times. It could take 2 hours just to get out of the city 😂

Oh yes I know but its mind changing then because the time is the same in a car. Even if you need 2 hours to get out of the city I shall maybe minimize to go out of the city LoL

Crazy that the 2017 and 2024 one literally make a X marks the spot in the US!! Pretty sure i won't be in the right area to see totality!
