"Nothing matters" can't be true though. Searching for meaning (connections) is a successful strategy. Therefore yes, memes are narrative, and are all that matter.

You should check out mimesis literature if you feel that way. Mimetic thinking can contextualize desire and meaning. Wanting by Burgis is good or Girard if you want to get deep.
