You are my taglist from the group "boatlovers", I posted our first trip with the camper, maybe you like camperlife also? If you don't tell me then I remove you from the list.

I love camping, touring and generally, anything to do with the outdoors but I don't have my own boat .. yet ...

Not bad for the first trip I would say! Now you learned some things about camping, next time no surprises.
I was kind of surprised that French villages are also abandoned. It seems like a global trend, moving from small places/villages to big cities.

Looking forward to reading about your next adventure!

Yes it is true! And about the trend in the Netherlands most people moved (started since covid period) from city to small places! Strange... haha everybody wants to live with much more space and nature around them.

The situation here is like this - older people who live in big cities want to move to small places. They want space, a peaceful place to live. Young people from small places want to move to big cities because of the better job opportunities, more places and things to do for kids. In time, small places are left abandoned simply because no young people are there.

Yup that definitely sounds like camper life!! Even planning ahead can leave you with unexpected situations. I too like my privacy!! I told David I do not want to be in those trailer parks very often. At my age, I donโ€™t need to meet the โ€œneighborsโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sounds like a fun experience though. Iโ€™m sure you will have many more and they will only get better because you will get used to what to expect.

Love your photos! That field of yellow flowers is amazing! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ’›
