In the comments, you said thoughts welcome 🤗: This is Interesting because I saw the @mightyonemanband (MOMB) post before I saw yours with the song for Gaike @CreativeG so I never for a second thought his point of view was aimed at anyone. I even agreed with his POV on AI and music (not sure if you saw my comment). But my opinion is only one person and my dislike of AI isn’t aimed at just music (explanation below 🙏🏻). Also, my POV isn’t always agreed with 😊 I think you and I have even briefly discussed some of this before. Before you read the next part, I want to be clear that I like every AI song you’ve shared with us and I applaud your own personal talents. Please keep that in mind while I continue to explain a few things 🙏❤️ I spent years learning to play instruments and on top of that…using ProTools to record multi tracks is VERY complicated. If you don’t learn it in college as a degree, it costs thousands of dollars to take a class to get the most use out of it. Not to mention the cost of all my instruments in my music room. As for MOMB, his whole existence has been his music. He lives in Indonesia but went to school in the States for it (Burklee I think!!!), he plays multiple instruments all at the same time 🤯, and now makes a living teaching music lessons….all while trying to get his own music out in the world. As you know from Hubert, music is a cut throat business!! It’s a jungle out there. 😮💨 If you want to get noticed, you have to put yourself out there everywhere! DeSo alone will never cut it. I have supported Bruce on Substack, BandCamp, and I don’t know where else. I bought his physical album a couple years ago. I even did a space podcast with him to help promote his song, “Spacebound”. Having said that though…I think it’s great that you are willing to support him on DeSo!! So kind of you 🤗 Every bit helps! I had no problem with Bruce’s video because it was just a one-off type action to gather support for his cause. Most of his songs aren’t like that. Many are even about finding peace in the world. He posts all of his things on various platforms. DeSo is just one outlet (but it’s definitely not where he’s getting the recognition or the funds, so I think it’s cool that he’s still using DeSo at all LOL) He is just now starting to get recognition as an Indie Artist on various radio stations. Elizabeth, I don’t think he even knows you do AI songs. He’s a very nice guy and would never intentionally hurt anyone. If I should guess, he probably just feels like all the years he has put into studying, learning, practicing, playing, teaching, etc is being sloughed off now due to AI taking over everywhere. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. I HAVEN’T TALKED WITH HIM AT ALL ON THIS. If I missed something though, I apologize. I happened to stumble upon an article this morning showing 65 jobs that will probably be phased out by the year 2031 due to AI. This wasn’t about people using AI for art. This article was eye opening and kind of terrifying (to me). It’s scary that highly educated and highly experienced people (and many at the age that if they lose their job, will never get rehired…yet not quite old enough to retire) are going to contribute to our overload of unemployment. This only solidified the stance that I took on AI when it first started showing its face. There is definitely great uses for AI. It can save time and it gives people a very creative outlet. Just like your beautiful song. The melody and the lyrics were wonderful. I was moved by how touching it was for Gaike. THAT was the point of your mission, I think, and if so, mission accomplished. 💖 I think we all, as humans, just need the ability to distinguish between real and AI and coexist with it. Coexisting has been my position on almost anything in life. Tolerance and diversity and the ability to live peacefully as humans would make the world a beautiful place….which is literally the opposite of what is happening in the U.S. right now and it actually makes me sick to my stomach. Love you dearly Elizabeth!!! I can almost guarantee Bruce meant no harm. I doubt he even knows about any of this yet. He was just voicing his opinion and trying to gain support from his followers. Just like you…with respect and clarity, You keep being your creative self! 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗 B.K. @LeilaThigpen @ThisDayInMusicHistory @Carry2Web @DiamondThumb @Moggel (tagging you guys because you also made comments) Cheers! 🥂 ![]() ![]()

Hi @ElizabethTubbs & @InMyHumbleOpinion Thank you for taking the time to explain — I truly appreciate your openness. I just want to clarify that my post wasn’t directed toward you or your work; the timing was purely coincidental. There is freedom of expression, of course — the same principle that allows both of us, and everyone else, to create and express how we feel honestly through music. My song’s lyrics speak from the perspective of a human who has spent years mastering instruments, training the body and mind, and dedicating more than 10,000 hours to this craft. It’s also a reflection on how technology is reshaping music and humanity — sometimes in ways that affects us (both positively and negatively) — and how many of us respond to that reality (albeit in this case through comedic tone for entertainment purposes but it is a serious issue nevertheless). I always encourage people to listen to the full song from start to finish as well, as it captures the whole story behind the message (the 30-second video snippet here on DeSo is too short for anyone to draw conclusions 😊) And yes, for anyone interested in hearing more of my work or supporting independent music, my Patreon page is open for that purpose. As for opening Focus subscription, thank you for your offer to support me here on chain. As of now, my time availability is very limited and it’s challenging to manage more than one subscription. We will see how this will unfold, and thanks again for your supportive intention 🙏🏼 About Spotify, it’s apparent that both you and I don’t agree with much of their business practices, but unfortunately there are more to it. And yes, it’s related to AI, and it’s not good. Please read the following articles: https://weraveyou.com/2024/05/ted-gioia-spotify-using-ai-to-attribute-non-existing-people/ https://www.honest-broker.com/p/the-ugly-truth-about-spotify-is-finally All in all, this is a very good discussion and there’s a lot more to talk about on this subject matter, I’m sure. Perhaps we can discuss more when the opportunity arrives. For now, you take care, and I wish you the best in all your endeavors, Elizabeth. With respect and creative spirit, Mighty One Man Band Kindly tagging people that have been involved in this discussion: @BKPOWER8 @CreativeG @AlexOnChain @LeilaThigpen @ThisDayInMusicHistory @Carry2Web @DiamondThumb @Moggel ![]() ![]() |
