So maybe it’s because it was before my time (or just as I was born), but I’ve never heard of this group or the “Houston Sound” style and I live in Houston.
However….I listened to the song thinking because I love soul & funk music from the 70’s that I might at least know the song. Oddly enough, I didn’t recognize it. But I listened all the way through and that horn riff in the middle, I absolutely knew!!!! It was such a weird feeling to hear something so familiar yet something that has been sooo long since I heard it. 👍🏼
