Solution #2 - Opening up Twitter data makes sense. The challenge is, Twitter will need to change its entire business model, modify company operating practices, and supplement/change talent.
This is hard for a large company with 10+ years of operating one way.
This is nearly impossible as a public company, as making this pivot would scare off institutional investors.
Elon Musk has proven time and time again, he can achieve audacious goals.
The one difference this time is that he has been the person in-charge from the early days. He has an unbelievable record of "creating a business." Question is, can he "change the business?"
Building a plane is easier than changing the shape or engine of the plane mid-flight.
The next few years will be fascinating.
