My wife was looking for a new job about a year ago. Put her resume on Indeed and at least once a day would get calls or emails from companies that wanted to hire her.
They all had foreign accents (if on phone) or poor grammar in their emails. They all sounded too good to be true.
I hear about these scams happening all of the time, but it just seems like some of them (or at least the ones we experienced first hand) are not very believable so you'd have to be pretty desperate.
It's a shame such scams exist though - there's a special place in hell for people that prey on the vulnerable or less fortunate.
