I have taken a stand to NOT support or do any work for companies that rip artists off. I actually think the greed of these companies is ๐ ด๐ ๐ ธ๐ ป. With all his recordings and songs, a couple of years after Spotify came about , Hubert received a paypal payment from them for $50 - one time that's it . Ever. Since then we realized it is useless to spend time on Spotify. He didn't put his music on there some distribution company did and of course they got paid first out of his less than .04 cent a stream. We have plenty of experience of understanding why it is a losing battle we will never win. MOST working musicians will never win. Make sure to fight to make a living wage on the way up, Concentrate your time money and effort generating great music to be released out into the universe. Build a body of work to be proud of. THEN , if, on your way up, you get your big break, think of the legacy you will have of in the wake of getting there. You will be able to stand on the foundation of your work and you will be able to note that what you have built has paved the way for others to also be paid as professional musicians! Your big break will happen without Spotify or Mousai. It will probably be by word of mouth, - someone referring you... i.e., "check out @AnnaAwe and one thing will lead to another." Mousai is a better arena to find one's fanbase and grow your audience. ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐๐. Cater to your fans on Mousai. Do Mousai only exclusives, etc. It will less expensive for you; you won't get lost in the ocean of other drowning artists; you will have more money in your pocket to produce more music.
