The B-17 is a big, complicated plane and one dear to my heart! My words of description make perfect sense to me, but if you’ve never seen a B-17, I can imagine my story might be confusing...therefore, pictures 👍🏼

Something isn't working right B.K.... I don't know what it is since I'm not familiar with the Blog posts yet, but I click on the header to go to the post, and it shows the post on the blog but truncated and then the next post below it you made on November 4th is the only one that opens. I did see the picture of you standing in front of the plane talked about here, but I can't access the article....

Im so frustrated with all this. I’ve been dealing with Zirkels off and on for a week trying to figure all this out. Weird thing is @TeamGM can read it. I’m not sure what he’s doing differently. I don’t know what to do 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not speedy on phone sorry - Don't you dare delete that! It's awesome! We just need to remove the barriers getting to it. Have ideas to help on that front but not writing it on on this little phone with fat thumbs🤣

Yes, I saw that he read and posted to it, but when I posted it said I was replying to the post "This was removed by the author" on it... you can see that at the top in the screenshot - I'll see if I can get there on DeSoFy but I just had to remove it an 8th time from my phone and take a new download from the App Store again to make it work again... I'll let you know. BTW - On Diamond App and BitClout nodes, only one picture shows up for users on those nodes since they are not slideshow compatible... Maybe put in a note to that effect on multi-picture posts... I have missed many pictures now because of not cluing into it sooner. I can't send reply-messages or diamonds on DeSocialWorld again tonight either - It worked all day thought.

But it’s not a post. It’s a Zirkels article so once you click on the Zirkels link it will take you to the article and all the pictures are embedded in the story.

No, not at all. I have been looking around Deso and trying to find some blogs that are still in the process of being written. I was hoping to see a variety of blogs in an effort to inspire myself on how I might make use of them. Unfortunately, I am not finding any blogs with RECENT posts, so now I'm thinking that the blogs on deso are now defunct. I might need to stop searching. Oh, by the way, I did click on the "read more" link on this blog post pictured, but it says that the post was removed by the author.

Thank you for letting me know! I was very disappointed because I spent hours writing up this blog on Zirkels and adding pictures. I even had to get help from Tony at Zirkels a couple times. It just wasn’t very user friendly and I had a lot of trouble with it…which just added more to my time consumption. Then somehow I ended up with two posts and THEN when I deleted one…that’s the one that gives the error message 🤷🏼‍♀️ I can see it fine from my phone here on DeSofy. I have no idea what happened and it’s a shame because I really thought I did a good job on this blog! Lots of pictures that people won’t find anywhere else and info from my perspective as a crew chief on the B-17. After that, I haven’t done a blog since. Way too much effort involved for the chance that hardly anyone will even see it. It was a big disappointment.

I have found Zirkels somewhat difficult to navigate also, even though there is great content there. It looks like you had an exciting career. You said that you are retired, right? Do you ever find yourself missing it, or are you glad to be away from it?

Airplanes are a hobby. Except for the short bit where I was Director of Visitor Experience at the flight museum. (I was a volunteer at the museum for years before that and I still volunteer occasionally.) My real job in my past life was internal auditing and then I was in the investment world. Pretty fast paced and LOTS of traveling. I don’t miss it too much. I like being home more. Although I never had an office and worked from home the entire time since my first job out of college, I traveled almost every week so it was very difficult to balance my life with family time. It all turned out ok though. Now when I travel…it will just be for pleasure. 😊 I feel pretty lucky since I’m only 54 years old, but I did save quite a bit all those years of working and invested the money. Thanks for asking. 🤗🤗
