Excellent article!

This high level How-To showing how DeSo and OpenFund can be used to fund and run a gaming platform will be of great interest to potential builders.

Linking to the Megaswap and the various DeSo APIs in the article is exactly what I like to see as a dev - showing me what I can do with DeSo today. 🤝

Combine this with some of the game / metaverse components developed in partnership with @NFTz and things get even more interesting.

I enjoy playing poker occasionally, so I appreciate the use of it as an example for building blockchain games. I'm a fan of the concept of blockchain games, and appreciate the in-depth information in this blog post.

I have enjoyed actively participating in game economies since playing World of Warcraft in my teens. However, I've found that some games can become more like a job than a hobby, and I've had a similar experience with gamefi where it becomes more about earning rewards through work rather than having fun. In my opinion, the primary focus of a game and its economy should be on providing enjoyment and fun for players, which is something that not all game creators prioritize. Particularly when real money is involved.

I like to call back to what the original founders of world of warcraft said when talking about their game all those years ago.
"we built the kind of game that we'd love to play ourselves"

One of my projects at London Business School as part of a Business Statistics Course was building a Poker Hand-Assist Bot that told you the odds as the hand was played out and recommended strategies. It was a school project for a 3 credits elective. So, we didn't go too far with it, but this article definitely piqued my interest.

At some stage, Tokenomics is going to become a B-School elective in itself - Inflation/Deflation, Incentives, Bonding Curve, etc. Anyone who gets this right, gets a head-start ahead of the others.

Great article and detail of fleshing out the idea into all the stages.

One question, would that setup not make the $POKER token a security as it pays out a cut of earnings from the game? Or have I misunderstood.

I know it is just hypothetical but worth checking/mentioning if so as that could be an issue for anyone that is unaware.
