I feel you brother, I lived in former Yugoslavia in 90’s when it fell apart. It was not a pleasant experience, but definitely good lesson in this life.

What an awesome read, Shane. How are you personally fighting inflation? You mentioned all of the good investments to fight it back... But which ones do you look for personally?

Good question. My mantra when it comes to investing has always been "Don't invest what you can't afford to lose." Problem is, you're always invested in something, even if it's the USD or the Euro. And even in the best economic times, those erode at the rate of 2 or 3% per year. So then my strategy becomes "diversify." I have a budget for buying crypto but I also invest in stocks and mutual funds. Within those categories, I invest in "old reliables" that are less risky, but I always take at least a small amount and put on well-researched long shot investments ... the ones that could make you rich but most likely won't. I look at that like entertainment, in a way. It's fun to speculate on new assets. I also take seriously the "penny saved is a penny earned" advice from Ben Franklin. One of my favorite things to do is save money by shopping around, using coupons, waiting for sales, etc, then using the money I saved to invest in digital assets. That always feels like making money twice!

I am very interested in finding ways to use cryptocurrency in everyday transactions and I believe that using it to buy and sell food could be a promising solution. My plan is to use NFTs to facilitate these transactions. Are there others out there who are working on similar real-world economic use cases for cryptocurrency?

I am particularly interested in this topic because of the current state of the food system and the potential for cryptocurrency to increase adoption. By offering lower-priced food options through the use of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, I believe we can open up a new market that is not being fully utilized at the moment.

I already have the land needed for food production, which is a major step towards making this idea a reality. Now, the next step is to have a conversation about how to effectively implement this process for both in-person and online communities. I would love to hear from others who are interested in this topic and potentially work together to make it a success.
