Good review.
I know Crypto.com has gotten some flack in the wake of the FTX situation, but I've always felt pretty safe using them and use them for 99% of all my crypto related purchases before offramping to my own wallet.
They spent the better portion of 2022 getting licensing in a bunch of countries and have always seemed on the up and up so I'd continue recommending them for anyone that needs an easy way to purchase new crypto. Of course I recommend then moving off to your own personal wallet though from there.
