Awesome post @nader! We too began in Bitcoin back in 2011, and remember accepting it as a form of payment on one of our websites when it was in the $350 range. We've been through the ups and downs. We've lost a ton of Bitcoin in Mt. Gox (still waiting for the legal mess to resolve 8 years later so we can recoup a fraction of it), and even passed on the opportunity to buy shares of coinbase (1/1000th of the company for $2500) when they were raising funding via crowdfunding. With every crash comes dread, but with every crash also comes a rebound even higher than before. Bitcoin (and the crypto space) has continually proven that it's here to stay no matter how low it drops temporarily. That first crash in 2013 was scary because we hadn't seen any crash in the crypto space like it before.

But because it has proven to rebound over and over again, it makes crashes like we see today much more bearable to deal with. As for interest rates, high interest rates are great for giving people confidence in the economy. When they are high that means the FED has tools in their toolbox to fight off a future recession, and keep the economy going strong. It's when the rate falls too low, that's when we get fearful. That means the FED is limited in the action they can take to boost our economy. Global economies around the world let rates fall too low in our opinion. It's nice finally seeing our economies get some cushion to work with with higher rates.

Finally got around to reading the full blog. Nice write up and it’s assuring to read from people who have been in crypto for a minute. We joke about the market volatility but in reality there are real consequences for investors. Thank you for shedding some light on to the situation and now more then ever it’s important for people to understand on centralized exchanges, “Not your keys, not your wallet” 🫡

Loved the advice @nader! I do think there is an opportunity that we should take out of all previous bear cycles: communicate more. I see so many project going completely silent while “buidling”. And making better protocols is amazing, but we shouldn’t forget telling others about them😉
