Sounds cool.

Maybe just enable a burn ONLY the editions > x option to start with (where x is a user entry say defaulted to 100). And you just burn the highest edition to the lowest edition.

Also, enabling a bulk bid/buy option will bring more fun and games to people trying to accumulate CPAs.

There’s one other thing that should be delivered prior to all this though.

@ItsAditya at one point said that all holders of a top 10 serial CPA will be verified on an undisclosed node.

That should happen before the trading of the gen 1s begin, seeing serial 4-10 can be traded.

1000 seems like WAY too many. This generally seems too complicated. I think that you are overestimating the community's willingness to spend 1 DESO. The partial allure of these NFTs was that they were free. This all seems a bit too complicated and pricey. IMO, some simplification is needed. People have religiously worked to collect all of these (a substantial effort). Now they will be asked to do a lot more 'work' to (mostly) hope for 4% of an NFT, backed by a currency that is on the ropes? My advice is to simplify and keep the cost element out. Comes across as yet another bait and switch. It all seems half-baked. Sorry.

Appreciate your thoughts. I think regarding your comment that it is too complex, @ItsAditya will do a great job at making this all super simple - one-click type of things. But you're right, it is more complicated than commenting "claim" on an NFT post. We're trying our best to give value back to G1 by reducing the supply and rewarding those who bought G1 on secondary, and we're trying to do so in an intriguing/exciting way. I would push back a little and say if we just do G2 in exactly the same way we did G1 that also wouldn't really add any value to the project or to this community. Charging for G2 actually in one sense adds value to the current holders as well, as it raises the floor. And in regard to how many G2 - we've gone back and forth on how many there should be, so will take your thoughts that 1000 is too many into account πŸ‘

1000 aint to many if each and every one is unique....why i would want to burn my so many of my generation 1 for 1 gen. 2 is still a mistery to me.... cant imagine for it 2 happen!!

I wonder how the 30-ish nfts (a month's worth of collecting) would be chosen for staking? Thanks for the reply--I would just try to keep in mind...the more complex it is, the less exciting it will be. :)

The interface has yet to be created, but most likely automatically selected from highest serial to lowest serial from those you own with a confirmation and the ability to edit edition/serial manually if so desired. We are also envisioning a mass buyer for G1 to make it easy to get more to burn (right now there are a ton of G1 for sale for around $0.05). And yes, you're right - we need to work hard to make sure everything is super smooth and remove complexity.

Great idea, will probably take 1000 2nd gen apes to wipe a significant portion of 1st gens apes out.
